Comicpalooza 2012 - Ernie Hudson

At Comicpalooza 2012 I had a chance to talk with Ernie Hudson for a few minutes.  In just a few short minutes I could tell he really is one of the nice guys in Hollywood.  Instead of asking him the typical Ghostbusters 3 questions, we chatted about The Crow a few minutes and how his character of Office Albrecht brought humanism to the supernatural world of The Crow.  He said he was just pleased to be a part of the movie and that it was truly Brandon Lee's film, which it was.  The Crow was one of my favorite graphic novel's growing up so it was fantastic to get to meet the man who brought one of the characters to screen.  I asked him about Ghostbusters 3 and he said he really didn't know, but he just hopes that it would be good because even he admitted that part 2 kinda sucked!  He also said however, that if they paid him enough he would do it either way!  Ernie Hudson was a blast to talk to and perhaps we will see him in Ghostbusters 3 one day!

Comicpalooza 2012 - ABC 13 News Report

Comicpalooza 2012 Day 1

Comicpalooza 2012 is off to a blazing start!  We had cos-players of all kinds.  We had Chewbacca, Kyle Reese, Hercules, and Teal'c signing autographs and taking photos!  Arc Attack put on an electrifying performance!  Belly dancers and side shows were performed!  Wrestling matches in the squared circle! Comics, toys, statues, and more bought up by consumers!  This was all the first day!!!  Lots of pics and more to come on the Comicpalooza Blog through out the weekend and check out the awesome news report below from FOX 26 Houston!!

G.I. Joe Pushed Back to March 2013

You read the headline right.  G.I. Joe Retaliation has apparently been pushed back to March 29, 2013, just a month before it's release date.  The reason?  Paramount and Hasbro say it's so that they can give fans a more immersive experience by converting the film to 3D.  They think that a 3D conversion will help with box office performance.  To pull a film a month before release with marketing in full swing for a tent pole film is pretty unheard of.  Perhaps Hasbro is freaking out because Battleship sunk at the box office.  Maybe G.I. Joe Retaliation just isn't that good so they feel they need 3D to sell it.  Either way, we wait until March to find out!

First Official Look At Michonne In The Walking Dead

Officially Michonne appeared in the season finale of The Walking Dead as the mysterious hooded figure with two zombies on chains.  Entertainment Weekly now gives us our first "official" look at actress Danai Gurira as the popular character.  Robert Kirkman, creator of The Walking Dead, had this to say about how Michonne would differ in the television series compared to her comic book counterpart. “The essence of the character — her personality, her motives, everything that makes Michonne Michonne — remains intact from the comics. But like a lot of things on the show, there will be little tweaks and differences here and there. We saw that her introduction is slightly different from how it was in the comic, and her interaction with Andrea is really going to be a really cool addition to the character that I think will get television viewers up to speed, and they’ll get to know her a lot faster than comic book readers did.”  
      The Walking Dead returns to television this October!

First Look At Animated Dark Knight Returns

DC Animation and Warner Brothers are bringing Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns to DVD and Blu-Ray later this year in a two-part adaption of the insanely popular comic book series.  The Hollywood Reporter has given us our first look at the adaption with these new stills below!  It was also revealed that Robocop star Peter Weller will voice Batman/Bruce Wayne in the film, as well as Ariel Winter as Robin and Wade Williams as Harvey Dent/Two-Face.

The Wolverine To Start Filming In August

The on again off again second Wolverine picture seems to finally have a start date and it's confirmd by Hugh Jackman himself.  The Wolverine begins filming this August according to Jackman on his Twitter account.  The Wolverine is due in theaters in 2013.
