Mortal Kombat (1995)

Synopsis: Three unknowing martial artists are summoned to a mysterious island to compete in a tournament whose outcome will decide the fate of the world.Yes, it really is that simple.

Released August 18, 1995
Director: Paul W.S. Anderson
Domestic Box Office Gross: $70.4 Million
Running Time: 1 Hour 41 Minutes
Starring Christopher Lambert (The guy from the original Highlander) and a bunch of relatively unknowns

Why You Should Watch It:  Because for most of us, Mortal Kombat was a big part of our generation of playing video games.  That and the movie is a lot of good cheesy fun.  Maybe it's even the Flash Gordon of the 1990's!  Plus doesn't hearing MORTAL KOMBAT make you want to go kick ass!
