Guy Gardner Coming To Green Lantern The Animated Series

The first season of Green Lantern The Animated Series saw Hal Jordan taking on the Red Lanterns and eventually defeating them and saving the universe.  Things won't get any easier in season 2 for Hal. Hal Jordan will find Earth a different place. After defeating the Red Lantern Corps. in the far reaches of space Hal looks to be in a good place but not so fast warns producer Jim Krieg. He warns "not to get too comfortable with the happiness Hal is feeling in his heart, because we're just gonna mess up his life again."
Hal's life takes a turn for the worst when he finds that while he's been out in space a new Green Lantern for Sector 2814 has been found in Guy Gardner, a character probably most famous for a run-in with Batman. "He's like Hal Jordan cranked to Level 10," said producer Giancarlo Volpe. "He's that much cockier, more brash and a womanizer."
Guy Gardner will be voiced by Diedrich Bader of Batman: The Brave and the Bold fame. But Hal's troubles don't end with Guy, the second season's big baddie will be the Anti-Monitor which will reportedly cause Hal to go on a recruiting campaign for more allies.

Green Animated Tales Are Coming

A panel was held at New York Comic-Con this past weekend and much was revealed about the upcoming Green Lantern The Animated Series.  Here are some show details followed by some concept art.

The show will run for at least 26 episodes, with the first 13 episodes already planned out.

The main villains of the show will be the Red Lanterns, although the other coloured Lanterns will show up at some point.

Sinestro will not feature in the first 13 episodes, although he will be getting built up over the course of the series for his eventual reveal.

This is very much a space-based series, which means the other major DC superheroes won't be making any appearances anytime soon.

A preview will come out in late 2011, but the series isn't slated to premiere until the spring of 2012.
