he hype machine for The Dark Knight Rises is in full swing, with
some IMAX theaters already selling tickets and reporting sell outs! The
latest issue of Entertainment Weekly features Christian Bale as Batman
on the cover and offers a few tidbits inside. Bale had this to say
about the end of the trilogy: "I can tell you the
truth because I’m done with it: I felt immense pressure. And I think
it’s a good pressure, because you owe it to the films — and the people’s
expectations — to make great work."
Nolan also has a few comments in this issue including the following: "I think when
people see the film, things will come into focus. Bane is very complex
and very interesting and when people see the finished film people will
be very entertained by him."
The issue
also reveals that people may want to revisit the last film in the saga,
as this final chapter has ramifications that spin from the conclusion of
The Dark Knight in which Gordon and Batman try to cover-up the sins of the late Harvey Dent in order to protect Gotham's true saviour.
