Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes will hit theaters on August 5th and the more I see of this movie I am getting very excited.  As a big fan of the original set of films, this looks amazing and could surprise everyone to be one of the better films of the summer.  Or I can hope at least!  For now check out the third trailer for the film!

New Planet Of The Apes Comic Series Is A Huge Hit

The new Planet Of The Apes comic series from Boom Studios has been a surprise hit.  Most comic book stores have sold out of it and why?  The book is actually pretty  good.  It's in continuity with the original movie series and the buzz around the upcoming Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes is probably helping it too.  Well Boom Studios wants readers to get caught up on the series and they don't want you to pay a fortune.  They will be releasing the first trade paperback with issues #1 - 4 on August 3rd for just 10 bucks and not only that, issue #5 of the series will ship the same day for just $1 dollar.  Not a bad deal to get caught up on a good comic series and that weekend after, the new film will hit theaters and Apes Will Rise!!

New Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes Trailer

Hot on the heals of the images and concept art comes a brand new trailer for Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes.  This film is a prequel to the 1968 original film which tells the story of the apes beginnings and their rise in evolution.  The film stars James Franco and hits theaters August 5th.

New Ape Images From Rise....

Comicpalooza 2011 is over and we begin the long wait for 2012, but the news goes on..... Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes hits theaters this August and seems to be lost admist the hype of movies like Green Lantern and Captain America.  Personally I think Rise... looks very cool.  These new images have popped up featuring Andy Serkis being transformed into Cesar as well as some awesome concept art from the film.

The film has now been titled Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes and the first trailer is here. I'm a  huge fan of the original franchise and so far this reboot looks pretty amazing to me.  It will have my butt in theaters this August.  Check out the first trailer below!

Information on Rise Of The Apes has been scarce, especially since the movie is due August 5th.  20th Century Fox should start promotion soon and recently they handed out promotional calendars at Cinemacon promoting their upcoming movies and one picture in it was this one, our first look at the evil Cesar from Rise Of The Apes.
