The Legacy Of Sam Flynn

Comingsoon.net has a new Tron Legacy banner.  The banner featuresGarret Hedlund as Sam Flynn, the son of the older Flynn played by Jeff Bridges in the original Tron..  Tron Legacy opens in theaters December 17th in 2D, 3D, and 3D Imax.

Avatar Collector's Edition

Not much is known yet about this release except that it will contain 16 minutes of footage back into the film and lot's of special features that were of course absent on the original release!






Spider-Man & Spider-Man 2 Individual Blu-Rays

Release Date November 16th


Previously only available in a trilogy set, the discs hit November 16th in stand alone releases.  Where the hell is Spider-Man 3?

The Last Airbender


Release Date November 16th


Paramount Home Entertainment has announced the action/adventure movie The Last Airbender, directed by M. Night Shyamalan, for Blu-ray release on November 16, in two editions: a two-disc BD/DVD Digital Copy combo pack and a single-disc Blu-ray. It will feature "over two hours of in-depth, behind-the-scenes special features".  Although this movie was shown theatrically in 3D (converted in post-production from native 2D), no 3D Blu-ray edition has been announced as of yet.

Fanboys is already out on Blu-Ray in the USA but this is the UK artwork.  Much better than the US art so I thought I'd share it with you all.  And if you haven't seen FAnboys yet, its awesome!  Go see it now!!

How Dangerous Is A Zombie?

Smallville is entering it's 10th and final season, and while it hasn't always been the best incarnation of Superman, it certainly has been a lot of fun at times.  It probably has ran way to long like all good TV shows but now it enters it's final season and these TV Spots are short and sweet but promisse very cool things to come.

Chris Evan's Has A Stunt Double, Dressed As Cap!

I think it's pretty bad ass that Captain America is set in the 1940's and not modern times.  I'm not looking quite as forward to it as I am Green Lantern but none the less I hope that Captain America: The First Avenger turns out really well.  More set photos have leaked out and here's a few or follow this link for more.  That's not Chris Evans in costume however, it is his stunt double.  It looks kinda goofy but will most likely look much better on screen. January Jones Is Frosty

X-Men First Class has begun filming and INF has several pictures online of January Jones and her stunt double as Emma Frost.  Check em out here! 

     The film follows the classic Marvel mythology, charts the epic beginning of the X-Men saga. Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr took the names Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before they were archenemies, they were closest of friends, working together, with other Mutants (some familiar, some new), to stop the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift between them opened, which began the eternal war between Magneto's Brotherhood and Professor X's X-Men.

Directed by Matthew Vaughn, the film stars James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jones, Kevin  Bacon, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Caleb Landry Jones, Lucas Till, Edi Gathegi, Jason Flemyng, Oliver Platt, Morgan Lily, Zoe Kravitz, Bill Bilner. It opens in theaters on June 3, 2011.

Iron Man 2 hits DVD on September 28 and Target stores will have an exclusive 3-disc Blu-Ray/DVD Combo pack with this awesome packaging!

Inception
Release Date: December 6 (Unconfirmed)

Christopher Nolan's masterpiece hits Blu-Ray and DVD on December 6th in the U.K.  Still unconfirmed for the US, it's a good bet it will be the same date..  It will also be released in a limited edition briefcase edition with art cards, a spinning top, and a booklet  Check out the limited edition packaging below.

 

The A-Team and Knight And Day don't have official release dates yet but the box art is up and they are available for pre-order on several websites!

Comicpalooza Partners With Zombie Walk Houston

Corresponding with Comicpalooza's 2011 theme, "Year of the Zombie" the
convention has partnered with Zombie Walk Houston. This year's zombie
walk will take place October 23, 2010, and will benefit Tilman Troops,
a Houston based charity that provides support and assistance to our
troops overseas.

The first annual Zombie Walk Houston in 2008 was attended by 100+
zombies and 237 meals were created through non-perishable donations
for the Houston Food Bank. In 2009, the event tripled in size, as 300
people showed up. Comicpalooza and Zombie Walk Houston look to make
the 2010 event the most successful one yet.

Welcome to the Video Game Friday report!!  The latest round up of happenings in video games all in one place for you!!

The big news this week is that XBox Live is raising prices for their service for the first time since 2002.  Some people don't seem to mind and others aren't to happy about it.  I'm an avid XBox player and I'm kinda upset that it's going to cost me more money for a Gold Membership to play games on  a companies console which already has more money than everyone.  You can read my full rant here.

Apple Unveils New Version of Apple TV

     Apple TV has been around since 2007 but has never caught on with the public.  It's a pretty cool device.  You can sync it with your PC so that it will stream anything you have on your Itunes to your television.  This includes all of your music and videos on your itunes.  The downside it that it does not record like DVR's or Tivo.  Apple today unveiled a smaller more compact and cheaper version Apple TV that will retail for $99 bucks.  The tiny new Apple TV system announced Wednesday will only let people rent, not buy, content. For first-run high-definition movies the day they come out on DVD, people will have to pay $4.99. High-definition TV show rentals will be 99 cents.
     The new Apple TV, which will be available within a month, will give people access to the high-definition version of top movies, though Apple CEO Steve Jobs didn't say which movie studios have agreed to include their titles for streaming. Television episodes also be available, including such hits as "The Simpsons" and "Glee."
People who watch content from Netflix Inc. streamed over the Internet can also access their "instant" queue through Apple TV. (source: yahoo.com)

First Look At Arkham City

Several screen shots from the upcoming multi-platform game Batman: Arkham City has hit the internet today and they look fantastic.  The first game was a total blast to play so I'm highly looking forward to the sequel which is due in stores in 2011! Superman/Batman: Apocalypse Is Coming!

The next DC direct to DVD movie hits on September 28th featuring  the world's two greatest heroes! Based on the DC Comics series/graphic novel “Superman/Batman: Supergirl” by Jeph Loeb, Michael Turner & Peter Steigerwald, Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is produced by animation legend Bruce Timm and directed by Lauren Montgomery (Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths) from a script by Academy Award-nominated screenwriter Tab Murphy (Gorillas in the Mist).In Superman/Batman: Apocalypse, a spaceship splashes down in Gotham City Harbor -- leading Batman and Superman to encounter a mysterious Kryptonian with powers as great as those of the Man of Steel. The Kryptonian is soon revealed to be Kara, cousin of Superman, who takes her under his wing to educate her about the ways of Earth. However, the villainous Darkseid has other plans.
