Why You Should Watch It:  This is the movie that made zombies cool!  28 Days Later, Dawn Of The Dead, The Walking Dead....all are inspired by this black and white classic!  It still stands up today in the genre as a horrifying and gritty look at just what if the dead came back to life!

Underworld: Awakening Trailer

Kate Beckinsdale returns to the role of Selene in the latest installment of the Underworld series titled Underworld: Awakening.  Expect more Lycan versus Vampire action in cinemas soon!

The Thing Trailer

Filming on the remake/prequel to the 1981 classic The Thing has been going on for a while now and it finally has a release date of October 14th..  The first trailer for the film has arrived and it doesn't look all that bad. judge for yourself by watching it now!

Evil Dead Remake Gets A Director

The classic horror film Evil Dead is a fan favorite of many, along with it's two sequels.  Director Sam Raimi, who directed the original trilogy, has toyed for years about making a fourth entry but now it seems instead the franchise is being taken the remake route.  Raimi will be s producer but not director.  Those duties will go to Federico Alvarez.  No word on casting or a release date as of yet.

John Carpenter To Direct Darkchylde

Master of Horror set to bring you the girl of your dreams. John Carpenter is onboard to direct Darkchylde, based on the comic by Randy Queen about a good hearted southern teen cursed to become the creatures from her many recurring nightmares. Every time Ariel Chylde transforms, she sheds her skin and a new nightmare emerges from her Id to act out her deepest, darkest impulses.

John Carpenter and Sandy King’s Storm King Productions have allied with Randy and Sarah Queen’s Darkchylde Ent. to produce the film, following the release of test footage created by Richard Taylor’s Academy Award Winning Weta Workshop.  The promo image below was also released with the announcement!

Norrington Off Crow Remake

The Crow is one of my all time favorite graphic novels and the 1994 film starring Brandon Lee is still to this day one of my favorite comic adaptions and films period.  So a remake of The Crow is right up their with remaking Star Wars or Indiana Jones.  You just don't do it!!  Last year a remake/re-imagining project began to take shape with Stephen Norrington on board as director.  He saw it as a hyper realistic take on the story of Eric Draven, all though many rumors said the character wasn't even named Eric Draven at all.  The script had been written by Norrington and Nick Cave.  In the last few days rumors have circulated that Mark Walhberg had been offered the role.  Ok not the worst choice but not the best either.  Now suddenly Norrington is off the project completely.  He has said that an unnamed star was anxious to work with him but didn't like the script and demand a rewrite.  So Norrington is moving on.  There is no indication given that it was because of Walhberg but either way it's over for him.  Personally I hope this project dies completely. They already made absolutely horrible sequels and a remake of this film is totally unnecessary.  Hollywood really is running out of ideas.

Scream 4 This Teaser Trailer

Scream is back with a  fourth installment.  I have to admit, the nostalgic factor kind of kicked in while watching this teaser trailer and it could be a lot of fun.  Wes Craven returns to direct and the film hits theaters next April!  Here is the first teaser trailer for the film!
