Who's Going To Direct Wolverine 2?

All though the Wolverine film was an entertaining mess of a movie I still think a Wolverine 2 is a good idea.  Let's just hope they get something right this time story wise.  But whose going to direct it?  According to deadline.com, Darren Aronofsky as one of two contenders to take the helm of  X-Men Origins: Wolverine 2. The other contender is one David Slade (of 30 Days of Night and Twilight Saga: Eclipse fame).
Aronofsky has reportedly been in conversations with Jackman, who he previously developed The Fountain with. Although he's not a bankable director for the studio to put on a big tentpole movie. Fox gambled on art-house director Gavin Hood for the first one and the results weren't so good. On the other hand if producer/star Jackman wants Aronofsky, he'll probably get him.  Deadline speculates that Slade is the more likely candidate given the blockbuster success of the Twilight movie.
